Tennis. Good fun. Great exercise.
So come and play!
Buntingford Tennis Club is a friendly group, with enthusiastic, sociable tennis players including adults and families. All abilities and standards play here.
The club is especially geared up for beginners and improvers. From May to July there are opportunities to come along and try tennis at the club for free.
We play at the multi-games facility in Buntingford, which incorporates 3 tennis courts. It’s located at Norfolk Road Playing Fields, by the junction of Norfolk Road and Bowling Green Lane in Buntingford. There is a public car park adjacent to the courts.
Players often get together after tennis, meeting at either The Crown pub on Market Hill close to Barclays Bank or Buntingford Coffee Shop, in the High Street near Sainsbury’s.
During the season we welcome friendly tournaments with nearby clubs. Most recently we were delighted to play an exciting tournament against Wymondley Tennis Club.
In 2015, East Herts Council awarded the club a ‘Community activities grant’. This is being put to good use as we encourage local residents to get active and enjoy themselves at the club by taking up tennis or returning to the sport.
Buntingford Tennis Club is proud to be a member of the local Chamber of Commerce.
See note below about where we are playing in 2021.
